If you are not in the architect's model, you are not in the project.

Aayaam turns your products into smart digital objects that design teams place straight into their projects.

Scroll to take a product apart.

A smart object

Not a 3D picture. A smart object.

An ordinary 3D model is only a shape. A smart object knows what your product is made of, how big it is and how it fits. Every part carries data.

  1. Lid Powder-coated steel · 1,100 × 600 mm
  2. Door seal Magnetic PVC gasket · 8 mm
  3. Basket Epoxy-coated steel wire · 400 × 240 mm
  4. Inner liner Aluminium · 0.8 mm
  5. Insulation Polyurethane foam · 70 mm
  6. Condenser coil Copper tube · 6 mm

One standard

One standard for every product.

AS 1:2026 says what every object must contain. A product from any maker then behaves the same way in any design tool, and it carries a mark you can show.

Library opening soon
Step 1 · The library

Found by the designer.

Designers search a library for what they need. Your object appears beside others, ready to use. No remodelling. No guesswork.

FZ-011,400A-201 · KITCHEN LAYOUTSCALE 1:50
Step 2 · The drawing

Placed in the design.

It lands on the architect's drawing in the right size and place, with its data attached. The drawing and the product now match.

Step 3 · The bill

Counted in the bill.

It becomes a line in the bill of quantities: what, how many, and from whom. This is where products get quoted and ordered.

Installed · AY-0001
Step 4 · The site

Built in the project.

Then your product is installed in the real building. The object in the model and the product on site are the same thing.

Why it matters

Be in the model.

Get specified. Designers choose products they can drop into the model. If yours is not there, it is easy to skip.

Stay in the model. More design teams work this way every year.

Run your own business better. The same smart objects can feed your drawings, quotes and production, with fewer errors.

AS 1:2026

Specification for BIM-ready manufacturer product data. First Edition, July 2026. Published by Aayaam. It sets what a manufacturer's BIM object must contain for use on Indian projects.

Level 1

AS1 Compliant

A valid IFC file, correct units, a classification code and the minimum data.

Document and file review

Level 2

AS1 Verified

Tested in two design platforms and a viewer. Parametric sizes. Geometry within budget.

Hands-on testing

Level 3

AS1 Certified

Full regulatory data (BIS, BEE, seismic zone). Lifecycle data for facility managers. Re-checked every 24 months.

Hands-on testing and audit

Level 4

AS1 Advanced

A live data connection and circularity data, for digital twins.

Hands-on testing and audit

What every object needs
  • An IFC 4.3 file that passes validation.
  • Real parametric geometry. A "dumb" mesh does not qualify.
  • Two levels of detail: simple for early design, detailed for construction drawings.
  • Geometry kept light: up to 15,000 triangles for simple products and 50,000 for complex equipment.
  • An Aayaam classification code, mapped to Uniclass 2015 and ISO 12006-2.
  • Indian regulatory data where it applies: BIS licence, BEE star rating and seismic-zone suitability.

What it is not. Edition 1 is authored by Aayaam alone. A technical committee of architects and manufacturers is intended, not yet formed. The standard checks the digital object. It does not test or certify the product.

AY-02 · How it works

From product to smart object.

  1. Talk to us

Tell us your products and the files you have today.

  2. Plan

We agree which products come first, and which level to aim for.

  3. Digitise and check

Each object is made, then checked against AS 1:2026.

  4. Publish

Verified objects go into the library for designers to find.

AY-03 · Questions

Short answers.

What is a BIM object?

A BIM object is a digital copy of a product that design teams place inside a building model. A smart one also carries data: size, materials, codes and warranty.

What is AS 1:2026?

AS 1:2026 is the Aayaam specification for BIM-ready manufacturer product data. It is the First Edition, published in July 2026.

Does AS 1:2026 test my product?

No. It checks the digital object. It does not test or certify product performance, safety or regulatory status. If your product holds a BIS licence or a BEE star rating, the object must carry that data correctly.

Is AS 1:2026 an official Indian standard?

No. Edition 1 is authored by Aayaam alone. Aayaam intends to form a technical committee of architects and manufacturers. It will map its classification to any official Indian standard that appears.

Which products can become objects?

Discrete manufactured products fitted into a building: mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire-safety equipment, sanitaryware, joinery and fit-out parts, façade and glazing systems, and finishes.

What are the four levels?

AS1 Compliant, AS1 Verified, AS1 Certified and AS1 Advanced. Each level includes everything in the levels below it.

Is the library open?

Not yet. The library opens as the first objects pass verification.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the number of products and the level you want. Get in touch for enterprise pricing and project planning.
